AI and Recruitment Transparency Notice
Last updated: 17 October 2026
1. Assistive Research Tool — Not an Autonomous Decision-Maker
Vettara Search (operated by Vettara Technology FZ-LLC, RAKEZ Licences 47031944, 45035757, 17008618, and engineered by Waggle FZE, SPCFZ Licence 4432420.01) helps executive search consultants and hiring teams structure role briefs, discover public professional signals, organize candidate research, and inspect source evidence.
Vettara does not make autonomous hiring, rejection, screening, interview, employment, compensation, visa, background-check, or credit decisions. Every shortlist approval, client share, and candidate outreach action requires affirmative human review and initiation.
2. How AI and Heuristic Grading Work in Vettara
Vettara combines deterministic rules with large language models to parse role briefs, expand target company sets, evaluate public career histories against role criteria, flag potential mistaken identity or stale profiles, and surface explainable fit indicators (such as Grade A / A+ / B / C research tiers).
Because public web profiles can be incomplete, self-reported, outdated, or ambiguous, AI summaries and preliminary grades are presented alongside direct links to the underlying source URLs so human researchers can verify every claim before acting.
3. Evidence & Anti-Hallucination Safeguards
- Source-Linked Evidence: Candidate cards display the underlying public profile URL, matched company/title evidence, and verification status.
- Explicit Uncertainty: Where location, tenure, or contact details cannot be verified from public evidence, Vettara surfaces that uncertainty explicitly rather than fabricating credentials.
- Zero Masked Contact Fabrication: Vettara never accepts or fabricates masked teaser emails (such as
a****@company.com) as verified contact records.
4. Non-Discrimination & Protected Characteristics
Vettara's grading and ranking prompts are designed to evaluate strictly job-related professional criteria (role titles, industry/company experience, seniority, and geographic market). Vettara is not designed to infer, score, or exclude individuals based on race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic under UAE law, Title VII, the EU Equality Directives, or international labour standards.
5. Regulatory Compliance (EU AI Act, NYC Local Law 144 & UAE AI Ethics)
Recruitment deployments of AI may be subject to jurisdiction-specific obligations, including the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, New York City Local Law 144 (Automated Employment Decision Tools / AEDT), and the UAE Charter for the Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence:
- Customers must maintain meaningful human-in-the-loop oversight over all shortlist and outreach decisions.
- Customers must not configure or use Vettara as the sole or determinative factor in an employment decision without independent human assessment of the candidate's qualifications.
- Where a customer's local jurisdiction requires pre-use candidate notices, bias audits, or alternative evaluation accommodations, the customer (as employer or recruiting controller) is responsible for fulfilling those statutory obligations.
6. Candidate Rights, Corrections & Immediate Opt-Out
Any individual whose public professional profile is referenced in Vettara may request access, correction, or permanent suppression/opt-out at any time through our Privacy Request & Opt-Out Center or by emailing support@vettarasearch.com. See also our Candidate Privacy Notice and Privacy Policy.
